Mobday

Mobday

Formed in December of 2005, MOBDAY originally started as a project between guitarist Jordan Greene and drummer Eric Askew. The intention was to create a band that combined the extreme sides of melody and aggression with a stage show that would leave the audience speechless. The band worked together for a couple years, and rounded out the lineup with vocalist Ryan Nickerson and bassist Alex O'Connor, before independently releasing their album The Beginning: Part II on March 18, 2011. The album was well received by fans and local and regional music critics. Songs like "Save Me", "Forsaken" and "The Vow" are pure energy-driven rockers fit for an arena. The band played numerous shows in support of the album while, at the same time, beginning pre-production for the second album. The band was in the middle of recording the album when they amicably parted ways with founding drummer and their first choice to fill the seat was none other than Ty Gleason. The band became more dynamic with Ty on the kit, combining mutual musical interests and the desire to put on the tightest live show.

In the Fall of 2014, they released their second album, Vertigo, which is available now for download and purchase at FYE stores nationwide.

MOBDAY was a featured artist in Rock n Roll Industries Magazine issue #9 and was present at Winter NAMM 2014 in Anaheim, CA. They have toured the Northeast region extensively playing dozens of national and local venues and have shared the stage with acts including Saliva, Tantric, Burn Halo, Smile Empty Soul, Hurt, Days of the New, The Ataris and Brand New Sin.
