Back in 1997, as the century wound to a close, CyberCafe West
was born. Established by prolonged whimsy, the Café took root in a building
that was built in the beginning of that old century. Between the tin ceiling
and tile floor, the café’s character emerged. A touch of the new and a taste
of the old. Eclectic by both choice and necessity. But beneath style and
façade, the café, at its core, is built on the belief that everything should
be more than it is. Not in some “Be all you can be” sense, but in the
Looking Glass sense of "Be what you would seem to be." - Humpty Dumpty to
Alice. That in this sleepy city of Binghamton, we can ignite the creative
forces with in us all. Whether in just our words to our friends or
ourselves, or in the talented musicians and poets that have and will grace
the Café’s stage. It’s also a pretty good place to
eat and drink. Hope to see you soon!
Live music 5 nights a week!
- The café stage has hosted over 2000 performances.
- We strive to bring outstanding Jazz, folk, rock & blues to
Binghamton.
- We have had a nine-piece SKA band from DC on a Wednesday night.
- We have had the fiddling poet from Alaska.
- We have hosted Grammy nominated performers and fine local talent.
Come support the music by listening. That is
what many of these performers drive hours for, to find a receptive audience
with open ears. We are dedicated to continuing to support live music. There
is power and connection in music, and we hope you share the energy with us
real soon.
