Conehead Buddha

Conehead Buddha

Conehead Buddha is back!

Chris Fisher started his musical journey in high school, playing drums along with his favorite Zeppelin, Rush, and Talking Heads tunes, mixed in with the whatever happened to grace the airwaves of his youth. He landed a spot as a percussionist in the Empire State Youth Orchestra and went on to college. It was there that he got his first tastes of Jazz, playing tunes from the Real Book with other aspiring players. Around this same time while moonlighting on guitar in an alt rock cover band, Chris found his calling as a songwriter. Fresh out of college he formed Conehead Buddha, which toured and recorded for nearly a decade. As this era came to a close, he built a recording studio and dove into recording and producing other musicians, while still staying busy filling in on drums or bass for various projects. Life got in the way as they say, and next thing you know another decade passed. In late summer of 2011, Chris found himself longing for the energy that was Conehead Buddha. He made a few calls to find his old band mates on that very same page. Chris feels honored to have the opportunity to write, record, and play again in this new rendition of Conehead Buddha!
